DONA CERTIFIED DOULA
Birth and postpartum doula services in San Antonio, Texas
ABOUT ME
Background
I was born in Argentina but moved to the U.S. with my husband just after marriage.  I have been fortunate enough to have lived in several parts of this beautiful country including Oregon, Louisiana, South Florida, Texas, and Maryland.  I have called San Antonio my home since July, 2016.
Education
I hold an associate degree as a blood bank technician from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and have pursued training as a nurse assistant in Oregon, U.S.
Family
I am a mother of four. My children are all grown up except my youngest daughter who is sixteen. Personally, I enjoyed all my pregnancies. My deliveries were harder than I expected, but holding my babies close after each delivery are some of the memories I treasure the most.
Recent work experience
Before moving to San Antonio, I was the Director of the Parenting Program of the Rockville Pregnancy Clinic , a non-profit organization based in Rockville, Maryland.  There I mentored mothers through their pregnancies and birth until their babies turned two years old. I have recently joined San Antonio Birth Doulas , a non-profit organization providing birth and postpartum doula services to teens and low-income women.
Motivation
A new member in the family changes the whole dynamic of life. Being well informed and truly knowledgeable about the process allows better managing this new season.  I am passionate about helping mothers and their families be better prepared to welcome a new life into this world.
Doula training and certification
I received my birth doula training and certification through  DONA International.  I hope to be able to help you welcome your baby by working with you in your new journey to parenthood.
My Philosophy
  • Being pregnant is a natural process in itself and pregnant mothers should enjoy this time.
  • The realization of a human life being developed inside a mother overcompensates all the nuisances a pregnancy can bring.
  • Every woman deserves to have a unique experience during labor.
  • Being able to prepare yourself for this amazing moment is a very important matter.
Special skills
I speak Spanish fluently.
